Do Tricks

You can expect that in order to get the best result, consistency is going to be key. For this section, I would suggest picking our 5 tricks and a 10 minute window you will practice these tricks with your puppy. It is extremely important to practice the same 5 tricks at the same time every day.

For example, try the first 10 minutes when you get home from work every day. Use the call work “tricks” here. When your puppy is ready to start tricks go through each trick in the same order as the previous day. Reward each “trick” well done with a Dog Treat (Small).

  • Sit
  • Shake (both hands)
  • Lay down
  • Speak
  • Roll Over

Go Bathroom Outside

Training our puppies to go to the bathroom outside can be our biggest challenge. But again, consistency is going to be key here. I recommend writing down the bathroom schedule that works best for your pup, in the event you are unable to be the one to take the dog outdoors each time. By taking the puppy outdoors constantly at the same times throughout the day, your puppy will learn to hold their potty, as well as wait to go outside.

Since each puppy is different, and each home demographic will vary, it is important to find a schedule that works for you and stick with it. For each successful time going to the bathroom outdoors number 1 reward with a Dog Treat (Small). For every successful outdoor bathroom number 2, reward with a Dog Treat (Large).

Go To Bed When It’s Time

We all require a certain amount of sleep in order to function throughout the mundane. Because dogs are no different, this step in Puppy Training 101- The Ultimate Puppy Training Guide is so important. If you want for this guide to work, than again consistency is key. In turn, you should also consider shopping for your dog kennel here!

Be sure that you use the same call name here every single night at the same time[ish]. Your call name for bed time could be as simple as “bed time” or you can come up with another. And, if you are experiencing your dog whining or crying all hours of the night, try taking the shirt off your back and placing it in the kennel with your puppy. This will comfort them and help with sleep.
